Hi all

I am searching for a library manager based on bibtex
but cannot find a key feature in the ones around.

I wanna have my whole bibtex entries organised in it, yes,
but I also want to have a link to the corresponding pdf-file
containing that paper or book (in case i have the pdf in my
computer).

This one feature i cannot find. My bibtex entries have a field like

annote = "$bib_pdf_dir/articles/Raiford_79.pdf"

So, the organisation is there, now i need the software ...

thx ...

Hi!

Take a look at JabRef http://jabref.sourceforge.net/

Bests,

Bruno.

jabref seems to be the best and most maintained bib-manager around.

But it still doesnt have that key feature (as i understand):

i have hundreds of pdfs in my computer and hundreds of entries
in my bibtex files. Many of those entries link to a pdf file in my
computer thru the annote field. I want it to became a kindof
one click link...

ok, i'll try harder here ...

thx

Try link to file in jabref or kbibtex and then look to bibtex file in plain text editor. You will see the syntax: some magic with replace andor regex and it's done.

Doesn't Mendeley do that? I use its XML export, not its BiBTeX export, but otherwise it's a good package.
