Dear all,

I've got a question which I often encountered in my typesetting. That
is, how to make the text vertically aligned to the bottom in the cell
created by \multirow? I know we can adjust manually by, for example,
\multirow{2}{2cm}[-1.5pt]. But the question is how I can align it
automatically to the bottom rather than adjusting the parameter
[-1.5pt] by experiments?

Thanks a lot
and
happy Christmas

The \multirow command automatically centres the input vertically
across the specified number of rows. If you want it aligned at the
bottom of a specific row, why would you need multirow then? That is,
you might just as well put the command WITHOUT multirow in the row
that you need. That way it should automatically be aligned to the
bottom. If not, then there's a way to achieve that (using the makecell
package, for example).
