Hello,
Please, is there any mathematical symbol like \perp but for oblique
lines? I mean
an horizontal segment with an oblique segment touching it.

Luiz

Luiz,

Have you taken a look at the Comprehensive LaTeX Symbols List?
Available online via CTAN from:
http://tug.ctan.org/pkg/comprehensive

Thank you Werner for the hint. I´ve got quite impressed with the
enormous variety of latex symbols.

But unfortunately, in that Comprehensive LaTeX Symbols List, the
closest symbol that I found was \nperp from MnSymbol, but the problem
is that this symbol is a negative one, although mathematically this is
correct, but I'd prefer a
symbol equivalent to \perp but with the vertical segment oblique to
the horizontal one, and this one I didn't find. Some hint how to build
a symbol like that, would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Luiz

Try drawing the symbol you want here, maybe you get lucky:

Thank you Jorge,
but I didn't succeed, I'm beginning to believe that this symbol does
not exist yet.

Luiz

Please see whether this helps:

\newcommand{\NotPerp}{%
\ensuremath{%
\mathrel{%
\raisebox{-2.3pt}{$-$}%
\hspace{-5.5pt}%
\raisebox{1.5pt}{$\scriptstyle\not$}
\hspace{5.5pt}}}}

$a\NotPerp b$

Thank you Krishnan.
This is the symbol I was looking for, the only modification that I
suggest you
is to use \raisebox{1.6pt} instead of \raisebox{1.5pt}.
