Hi all,

I am relatively new to LaTeX and have *just started using Beamer
because I had a presentation this last week. Only thing is I have
been trying to figure out how to insert page numbers into my Beamer
presentation. I used the \insertpagenumber before the \end{frame} but
then the page numbers were in different spots on each slide. Is there
any simple way to get numbers on each slide? I am not using a
template, as it is preferred in my department to use plain black and
white presentations. I have looked over the documentation and googled
for it many different ways and I can't seem to figure it out. Please
help.

Thanks,
S

A template would still be useful, since it would provide the
consistent formatting you're after automatically. Create a simple
black and white template (but include a slide footer that uses
\insertpagenumber).

Just put this line into the preamble:

\setbeamertemplate{footline}[frame number]

Bruno.
