I've added two new files to the repository: uhthesis.dtx and
uhthesis.ins. This is the recommended format for developing new
classes and packages for LaTeX. Most of the code and documentation is
contained in uhthesis.dtx; running "latex uhthesis.dtx" will generate
a dvi file containing the documentation. To generate the uhthesis.cls
file run "latex uhthesis.ins", the .ins file just contains some
instructions for converting the dtx file.

I'm importing most of the macros from uhthesis2e.cls, but I'm trying
to use LaTeX macros and standard packages instead of raw TeX commands
wherever possible. Also the new class explicitly loads the report
class, so there's no need to specify everything or provide the
uht10.clo, uht11.clo or uht12.clo files. We should just have to
specify what's different from a standard report. Anyway, I just
started today, so I'm still working on option parsing. I hope to have
most of the functionality moved in within the next day or 2, though
there will probably be bugs and formatting quirks. :)

Sounds great! One thing that is a total hack is the underlining of the
columns on the list of figures and list of tables pages. You can see
comments about the disgusting hacks I put it to make it work just before
submitting my masters thesis :)
