Broken support for GZipped eps files

Hi,

Thank you for a must-have utility. I used to use Makefile version
2.1.23 quite a lot.
After trying version 2.2.0 and 2.2.0-rc15, I noticed that I cannot use
gzipped files any more. In the <document_name>.d I read the following
lines:

As a side remark: It would be nice to include also a support for
BZipped files in addition to the support of GZipped files.

Whoa, that's definitely a bug.  Can you file an issue for this on the tracker and include a minimal set of files that I can use to reproduce it (as an attachment to the issue)?  I definitely don't want to see that kind of garbage in the .d file - that's a log parsing error.
