Hi
While working with LaTeX, you will find many supporting and accessory files like .aux, .bak, .lot etc., These files occupy majority of the folder and it will be annoying to find useful files like tex or cls file in the folder.
It is convenient, if we are able to hide these unnecessary files so that we can easily access important files.
I have attached a windows batch file (hide.bat) herewith which can do this job.

My LaTeX folder location is E:\N.Karthikeyan\Latex
You have to change this, and put your own location in all the lines.
You can open the attached file in NotePad and modify it to suit your needs.
I have hidden .bst and .bbl files too, but if you don't want them to be hidden, you can delete those lines.

Once you run hide.bat by double clicking, it will hide all the specified file types ( .aux, .bak, .lot etc.,) not only in the specified folder, but also in all the subfolders. (Remember to enable the option "Don't show hidden files and folders" in Folder options of Windows)

One drawback is that you have to run this file frequently (you may ask Windows scheduler to do this job if you are lazy) to hide unwanted files in new folders if at all they are created.

As per my knowledge, Windows has no other direct way of hiding files of particular type. Hence this is the only viable solution at hand.
