Bluefire Reader is an e-book reader application for Android (superseded by Cloudshelf Reader), iOS[1][2] and Windows[3][4] operating systems that supports white-labelling. It supports the EPUB and PDF formats for digital publications and incorporates facilities for browsing online catalogs, and downloading them directly into the user's personal library. The application features a library that lets users navigate their collection of eBooks, as well as provides a customizable reading experience through configurable font and background color, font size and type, margin size, display brightness, page turn mode, etc. Additionally, the application allows users to import their own books to read them on the go.[citation needed]

If I use Chrome, the ebook appears in my Bluefire ereader app after the ereader app manages the download. What do I need to do in Firefox for Android so that acsm files are passed to my Bluefire ereader app to manage the download ?

The following are instructions on the installation of an eBook reader (Adobe Digital Editions for PC and Mac, and BlueFire Reader for Android and iOS) and adding your eBook to your library. Please note that there are many eBook reader apps beyond Digital Editions and BlueFire.

A: You cannot use Acrobat Reader to read an eBook because Acrobat does not understand Adobe DRM. You will need to install an Adobe DRM-aware reader app and register it with Adobe before you download your first eBook. There are apps available for just about every platform, including Windows, OS X (Apple), Linux, Android and iOS (iPhone/iPad).

eBook reader or eBook apps are mobile software that helps you read books wherever you are, with just your phone screen. These apps have come a long way since the only ePub reader Android users could access was Google Play Books. Now, there are dozens of tools for iOS and Android users, many of which have a host of convenient features to delight any digital bookworm.

The proliferation of ebook reader apps has made it even easier for indie authors and publishers to reach new readers and widen their audiences. No longer are people beholden to ebooks that work only on a Kindle or a Nook. In fact, more and more people are able to skip purchasing those devices, which can cost $80-280, by using apps on their existing tablets and smartphones.

Bluefire Reader The Bluefire reader may be the most versatile. It works with both Adobe and Readium as well as a number of other ebook fulfillment systems. It supports Apple iOS, Android, and Windows PCs.

This box provides instructions for downloading your EBSCO e-book to Adobe Digital Editions (desktop/laptop). If you are downloading an EBSCO e-book to an iOS device (iPad, iPhone, or iPod) or Android tablet or smartphone (including the Kindle Fire and the Nook HD) look in the box below this one in this guide. Note that in general you get more functionality (and more permanence) using the EBSCO e-book reader in your browser than you do reading it on a tablet or smartphone.

If it is available for download, you will see the option to select a check-out period between one and seven days (you can return the book early if you finish it before you expected to), the format - if it is a PDF it is recommended that you should NOT try to read it on an e-ink e-reader or a smartphone! -- and information about software to read the e-book off-screen.

2. If you selected Bluefire Reader (recommended by EBSCO) your e-book will automatically open in the Bluefire Reader application on your tablet or smartphone; you will be notified that the download was successful and given the option to Read Now or Read Later. If you read now it will open up immediately; if later, you can find it by opening your Bluefire reader app.

Sony Reader, Kobo eReaders and Nook Ebook Readers use Adobe Digital Editions to transfer e-Books in PDF or ePub format protected with Adobe DRM from Adobe Digital Editions to the e-Book reader from the computer to the device.

You are able to download or transfer the same e-Book to up to 6 computers and tablet devices/smartphones and e-Book readers where either Adobe Digital Editions is installed and authorized with the same Adobe ID (computers) or where e-Book reading apps on the tablet devices/smartphones have been authorized with the same Adobe ID or where the e-Book reader/s has/have been authorized with the same Adobe ID.
