One of the biggest missing feature of the Soundtouch system is the ability to program an alarm on it.
I solved this integrating my soundtouch system in openHAB and controlling it from there, including time to switch on and volume ramping
To run this, you need a working installation of openHAB 2, at least one soundTouch system and its working binding
next you need to add an alarm selector to your sitemap (and maybe the soundtouch control, here i added a basic one with power, volume, presets; inside every room the corresponding soundtouc got more info, like artist and track)
default.sitemap
Next the rules, basically a cron that check every 5 minutes if the alarm should play (based on time and day), if it should play it calls a FadeIn function that sets the soundtouch volume to 0, select a preset and slowly increase the volume; both the preset and the target volume are hardcoded, but they could be easily added to the alarm configuratio as setpoints (the rule include quiete a lot of debug logging)

My bose system is software soundtouch (it's to controle all your speakers in different rooms). You can use it on your computer (ethernet access) or with your mobile (wifi access).
There is no problems on the ethernet. When I used the wifi it only worked withe the apple system. It doesn't work correctly with the orbi system even if I switch off all the other wifi.
I hope I give you enogh informations
You may want to go ask about it over in the soundtouch community they may give some options on how to set it up for a mesh network and If you can find that info I can help look into if orbi can do that.
Hi, i've been asked by a friend ti install his soundtouch speaker in his network. The problem is the firewall won't allow the program that controls the speaker access to his itunes collection, There are 2 items in the 'internet connections for programs' section relating to the sountouch program and are set for full access, but the firewall blocks it still. Disableing the firewall results in full access for the program and the speaker works flawlessly. I did the live chat with support and they left with me reinstalling mcafee to no avail. Was wondering if anybody has any ideas before I try live support again(no time today unfortunateley).
Hi. I am currently considering switching from smartthings to Homey, primarily because I find the support for soundtouch very limited on smartthings. What I am really interested in knowing is this: are the features of this app possible to use with voice activation through Google assistant? For instance; hey Google, play preset 1 on soundtouch 300.
