Dear Ladies and Gentlemen

I'm just starting work with full-waveform data. I received from   two strips they are storage in  LAS 1.3 format. The wave form data are in external  *.wdp file. The data was extracted by RiPROCESS software  (version 1.5.7.2).
In Lastool I can open the *.las file and convert  to other format, but i can't open the wdp file and connect this both files to get information about returns and amplitude, width etc.

My goal is to realize a additional analysis in Matlab software. I can work also with terrascan software but  I don't have a trajectories file. It is necessary  or can I extract flight lines from LAS file?

Do anyone know the workflow: how to get the data into Matlab?

Thank you very much

Best Regards,
Mateusz

Hello Mateusz,

to "view" the waveforms in your LAS 1.3 FWF file you can use the tools
that are part of the PulseWaves project, namely pulseview.exe,
pulse2pulse.exe, and pulseinfo.exe. With the pulse2pulse.exe
application you can also turn your LAS 1.3 FWF files into readable
ASCII.

pulse2pulse -i las13.las -o las13.txt

however, you can also use las2txt.exe for that. There is a (very
limited) documented feature that allows you to print out the digitized
waveform.

las2txt -h
las2txt -i las13.las -parse xyzV -o las13.txt

If you are planning to do waveform processing you could consider
joining the discussion group at http://pulsewaves.org ...

Martin

 Hi  Everyone,
in a middle of time I've got the new data extracted by riegl RiPROCESS 1.5.8

I'm  start work with the  the LASlib, and I have a obvious question.  I changed the code in file lasreader_las.cpp and What should be the next step to convert the data to ASCII?
Can i read anywhere more about how to use the LASlib?

And how can I check that the waveforms now have  correct position in lasview.exe or pulseview.exe, or it is confirm by the version 1.5.8 of RiPROCESS   ?

Regards,
Mat

Hello,

I have the waveform data in LAS 1.3 format collected by ALS50 system. We have TerraScan version 10.
Please tell the step by step procedures to analyze the waveform data in TerraScan.
