to LAStools - efficient tools for LiDAR processing
Hello, I have tiled 3878 tiles of 50x50m, (171 of 500x500) but blast2dem can only calculate 106 50x50m DEM.

This is what I'm using:

mkdir 6-mdt
blast2dem -i *.laz -odir 6-mdt -o mdt.tif -step 0.50 -keep_class 2 -use_tile_bb

pause

Hi André,
whats the output of blast2dem?
Does a error message occur?
Does the problem also occur when you use "6mdt" as directory?
Does the problem also occur when you use -orid "6-mdt" as argument?
('-' is the argument separator...)

Cheers,

Jochen @rapidlasso

I have worked with "6mdt" now, but the results were the same. It just stops at this tile because it can't read it:

(The errors bellow happened with every .laz)

Hi André,
until we do not have your data you have to do several tests, where the problem occurs.
(a) Are the files sure ok?
(b) Can they processed using another LAStools tool?
(c) Is there a file size limitation on your filesystem?
(d) do you have enough free space in general on your drive?
So first you should concentrate on one file.
What does lasinfo64 and lasvalidate tell about this file?
Is the file readable in general and total?
Please send an output of
    lasinfo64 -i tile_-10000_48150.laz
How big is the file on your file system?
If lasinfo64 delivers a reasonable result, can you run
    las2las64 -i tile_-10000_48150.laz -o c:\temp\tmp.laz -keep_class 2
?
Optional you can provide a downloadlink of the data and we can have a closer look.

Thanks,

Jochen @rapidlasso
