to LAStools - efficient tools for LiDAR processing
Hi,

I'm using txt2las64 to convert a .pts file (from Leica Cyclone) to LAZ.
The intensity values seem to range from -2047 to +2048, so when I
include intensity in the parse argument (-parse xyziRGB), the tool
throws warnings that the intensity value is out of range. Ok, so I use
the itranslate_intensity option (with 2048 as the numerical value), and
I still get the same warnings, showing the original negative values for
most of the records. Is something broken?

Thanks,

Hi Malcolm,
we do not think that something is broken, rather that your file is not as we expect.
Can you provide a small sample .pts file and the command you did use?

Did the file work using the old txt2las.exe or las2las64.exe?
Did you use the -ipts or the -iptx argument?

Cheers,

Jochen @rapidlasso
