Good afternoon

I want to do an "aberation", give us .las

I would like to create a .LAS cloud, via a "profile", but still in .LAS. To do this, I would first make a cut of the cloud, with the center of this profile, an example that I am sending as an attachment, in this case with a 1m strip.

Then, taking into account the central axis, I would like to transport all the points that are to the right of this central axis (xyR) to the coordinate of the central axis (XY) and the points that are to the left of this central axis (xyL) to the coordinate of the central axis (XY), without losing the Z value.

Dennis

to LAStools - efficient tools for LiDAR processing
Hi Dennis,
not shure if we got you right.
las2las64 should be the tool for this task.
Maybe you have to turn your data around the z axis to meet the global x/y direction with your central axis.
"-transform_matrix" or "-rotate_xy" will be the argument for this task.
"-scale_xyz 0 1 1" will be able to set your x values to the middle of this axis then.
Afterwards you can rotate the dataset back to your original direction.

Good luck,

Jochen @rapidlasso
