to LAStools - efficient tools for LiDAR processing
Hallo Martin,

i have three Point clouds and i want to compare them according the point density
i used lasinfo -cd but i got txt with point density
is there anyway to visualize the results?

thanks

to LAStools - efficient command line tools for LIDAR processing
The correct tool is lasgrid. Here an example command line for visualizing a point density variation between 5 to 10 last returns per square meters:

lasgrid ^
-i in.laz ^
-last_only ^
-step 2 ^
-density ^
-false ^
-set_min_max 5 10 ^
-o density_5_10.png

Hallo Martin,

I received an image with a gradation of colors, but I have no way of knowing which areas are higher or lower, and the image is so small that the resolution of the image is not clear at all. Is there any way to enlarge the picture?
Can I also use Lasoverlap to see if a point cloud is complete by covering aerial photo strips? I mean, there is no shortage of data to use later to derive DTM

Thanks very much
Basem
