to LAStools - efficient tools for LiDAR processing
Hi,

I'm trying to give RGB values to many AHN tiles (dutch lidar data) at once with lascolor with orthographic aerial imagery (the laz files and ortho tiffs are all in the same folder).

I've read the lascolor readme and it says that I have to use the '-imagedir' syntax to use in a batch but it doesn't work for me unfortunately.

The error keeps saying: "ERROR: cannot understand argument". Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Kasmin

Hi Kasmin,

Perhaps if you can share your script it is possibly an easy fix.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for your reply. I'm using this command:

lascolor -lof file_list.7196.txt -imagedir "C:\lidar\orthophotos" -odir "C:\lidar\rgb" -olaz

The list of files include all the necessary lidar data and all the ortho tiffs are located in the orthophotos folder.
The strange thing is that the readme document of the lascolor tool does say: 'use -imagedir syntax to give rgb values to lidar data in batch'.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Many thanks in advance.

Hello,

maybe you use an old version of lascolor? It works well. Here is an example:
