G’day Lastools
I'm not sure if this is the kind of issue that is discussed on this forum however I thought I'd have a go. I’ve been designing an analysis methodology for small quantities or LiDAR data and am in need of some help.
Due to my inexperience with writing code I’ve designed a conceptual analogue for the analysis using an excel spreadsheet. I now need to work out how to input the data values in small las files into excel format such that I have a row for each point in the las file and an entry in each adjacent column in the excel document for X (Easting), Y (Northing), Z (Elevation), Intensity, Return Number, any classifications that have been applied, etc.
Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated as I've no idea how to go about tackling it.
Regards

Hey Matt,
You can convert LAS file to a csv file using the las2txt tool, and then load the csv file into Excel. See las2txt help file at http://lastools.org
