About free LIDAR datasets

Hi,

Just short announcement: all LIDAR data of National Land Survey of Finland is free, open data.

NLSFI download service can accessed here: https://tiedostopalvelu.maanmittauslaitos.fi/tp/kartta?lang=en

You can also make direct downloads from kartat.kapsi.fi (direct link to LIDAR datasets: http://kartat.kapsi.fi/files/laser/etrs-tm35fin-n2000/mara_2m/).

Currently LIDAR is covering only part of Finland, but we're working on it. Total size of LIDAR dataset is 630 GB, be patient when rsync it ;-)

ps2. check also free ortophots, raster and vector datasets upto 1:20k. Weather data is coming later on this year.

HI everyone, I tried to send this last night, but there is much high quality lidar data for mostly the US available for free in .las and .laz as well as derivative product such as on the fly produced DEMS from streaming TIN and local binning at www.opentopography.org. Have a look! ramon
