Hello again,
I’m still having a few issues with lasboundary.
The first is that the “drop_gps_time_between” argument has no effect (output attached) on some files.
The command I’m running is:
& 'C:\LASTools\bin\lasboundary.exe' -i 240314_191235_Channel_1.laz -cpu64 -oshp -drop_gps_time_between 69240 69540
The time range for this file is ~69110 to ~69617 so this should exclude all but each end of it but no matter what times I put in I get the full output.
The second problem is that “-keep_gps_time_between” appears to only work if it is used once rather than multiple times.
For example, if I’m trying to run:
& 'C:\LASTools\bin\lasboundary.exe' -i 240314_191235_Channel_1.laz -cpu64 -oshp -keep_gps_time_between 69115 69250 -keep_gps_time_between 69260 69330 -keep_gps_time_between 69340 69540
I would expect to get a SHP with three small sections removed but instead I’m getting just one “kept” area at the start. Are the filters applied sequentially and therefore there is no data left after the first pass?
I do not get any errors when using multiple keep/drop timestamp pairs and there is nothing cautioning against that in the documentation and my initial testing appeared to work fine for dropping multiple pairs so I assumed “keep” would behave similarly. Is there some other way to achieve what I’m looking for? Perhaps marking points as withheld instead at an earlier stage?
Thanks!
