to LAStools - efficient tools for LiDAR processing
When attempting to use proj integrations with las2las, lastools fails with a memory allocation error
e.g.
las2las64 -i jug_bay_subset.laz -o jug_bay_subset_las2las_18n_test.laz -elevation_survey_feet -survey_feet -target_elevation_meter -target_meter -proj_epsg 6488 6347 -set_proj_wkt -vv terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' what(): std::bad_alloc Aborted (core dumped)
We initially thought this might be an issue with the particular build of lastools that we were using but after installing the newest version on our system today the error persists. We are using LAStools version 251013 on a system running Redhat Enterprise Linux 9.
