LASinfo set_bounding_box on a LAZ file

I am trying to set the bounding box of a LAZ file by using lasinfo -set_bounding_box and it doesn't work.
The same routine works fine on a LAS file. unfortunately all my files are in LAZ format.
Is set_bounding box supposed to work on LAZ files as well or do I need to convert to LAS?

Hello,

lasinfo can modify the header contents of a LAS files as well as those of a LAZ file as the headers are identical (see example below). Maybe upgrade to a recent version of LAStools ... ?
