This healthier homemade French dressing is SO creamy, indulgent, and full of sweet, tangy flavor. But with only half as much sugar as the store-bought alternative! Use mayonnaise for a thick & creamy French dressing recipe, or skip the mayo if you prefer classic French or Catalina dressing. Blend it up & have it ready in 5 minutes!

A staple of the Puerto Rican table, Mayo Ketchup is also a popular condiment in many different countries, where it can be known as fry sauce, salsa rosada, or pink sauce. The combination of mayonnaise and ketchup creates a rich and creamy dressing with slightly honeyed and tart notes. The two ingredients complement each other perfectly, creating a sauce that is surprisingly flavorful and versatile, like Snoop Dog and Martha Stewart.

Mayo Ketchup is a perfect dip for anything fried, and Tostones are an uber-traditional pairing. You can also try it with Air Fryer Fried Chicken, Oven Baked Steak Fries, fish sticks, and Baked Zucchini Fries. PS I love it as a spread on Tomato Sandwiches(stand down, traditionalists!) or a Smash Burger.

Mix ingredients until thoroughly combined and no white streaks remain. Use right away or refrigerate in an airtight for up to 30 days. Serve with your favorite crispy fried or oven-baked foods. Tostones are my favorite but the possibilities are endless!

French dressing often has paprika in it, which is partly why it has its distinctive color. We decided to switch out the regular paprika for some hot Hungarian paprika. This stuff is not super spicy but does have way more flavor than regular paprika. What it does in the dressing is balance out some of that sweetness with a touch of heat.

The other ingredients in this dressing are mayonnaise, ketchup, oil, cider vinegar, and some seasonings. If you prefer your French dressing a little more tomato forward, you can add a little tomato paste to yours. You can also definitely swap out the mayonnaise for yogurt. But know that the excessive vinegar will sometimes make it curdle. We found that adding mayonnaise and blending again smoothed it back out.

I find it easiest to make this salad dressing in a blender in order to get it fully emulsified with minimal effort. You could mix everything except the oil in a bowl and then whisk continuously while drizzling in the oil. Or perhaps even shake it together in the jar you plan to store it in. But if you have a blender, I definitely recommend using it!

My husband and I enjoyed your homemade 1000 Island dressing recipe. We were away from home with no dressing for our salad. He said oh mix mayonnaise and ketchup . I looked at your dressing and I thought it would work perfectly for us and it did. Per the comments, I used a pinch of garlic and onion powders to taste , slightly less white vinegar and no Cholula sauce. Thanks!

Could you clarify how you determined the calories for this dressing? Mayonnaise is 100 calories per tablespoon, so 1/2 cup of mayonnaise is 800 calories. Divided by 6 servings, the mayonnaise alone is 266 calories for each 2 tablespoon serving, before adding the additional ingredients. Did you use light mayonnaise in the recipe?

But my question remains: how did you determine 6 servings at 57 calories each? The mayonnaise in each serving exceeds 57 calories. When I calculate the calories it comes to 146 calories per 2 Tablespoon serving.

Recently I was trying to make a turkey burger taste like my mothers hamburger s which always were better than the the ones from the drive through places. Then I remembered mixing Catchup with Mayo! Better but still missing something. I bought a Rubin yesterday and that was it! The magic flavor. So I hunted down the sauce and bingo! There you were in all your delicious glory! Thank you so much!

Thanks for sharing this great recipe. I will make it one of these days.
Here where I live, I also have to make the mayo myself, but that is no problem either.
Hmmm. And yes. I also have to make the pickled gherkins for then to make the relish, but the vegetables are easy to find. I really look forward to get started.

Mayoketchup, also known as pink sauce or salsa rosada, is very common among Dominicans, as well as other Latin American heritages such as Puerto Ricans or Cubans. Though Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic all refer to mayo ketchup sauce in the same way, there are also different names for it in other countries, such as Argentina. They call it golf sauce, or salsa golf.

Mayo ketchup sauce can be served with any main or side dish. You can switch from ketchup and mustard to pink sauce on your favorite sandwiches and burgers, you can use it as a dipping sauce for french fries, yuca fries, or tostones, or you can dip your favorite seafood dishes such as steamed shrimp or calamari. Honestly, you can shoot for the stars with this one.

Although ketchup and mayonnaise have a long shelf life, once combined these two condiments are best stored in a sealed container for as long as 30 days. Be sure to keep a close watch on the sauce, however, if any mold does start to develop early on.

Ketchup mayo or mayochup is a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise often used as a fry sauce, dipping sauce, or sandwich spread. This combination of mayonnaise and ketchup has become a very popular condiment in the United States in recent years and is now also sold in bottled form at the grocery store. A similar sauce is also commonly used for seafood dishes in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Latin America and is sometimes referred to by different names like salsa rosada, golf sauce, and salsa golf. However this version often uses lime juice or lemon juice as well.

This recipe is beyond easy, there is no cooking required, and only three ingredients! And if I am being completely honest, ketchup is my favorite condiment next to hot sauce so when you combine them with mayo, magic happens. This delicious sauce is perfect for French fries, tater tots, burgers, onion rings, and even breakfast sandwiches! So having another flavor of ketchup to go on all the things is a win in my book. I also love that I can mix up a small amount on the fly.

The best way to store leftover mayoketchup is in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Since this recipe contains hot sauce which contains white vinegar and dairy, the shelf life will be limited and can sour if kept too long. I usually only make what I intend to use for a meal so I do not waste any.

This super easy play on two American staples is the perfect spread for a sandwich or a beef or chicken burger. It also makes a great dipping sauce for sweet potato fries, crab cakes, chicken nuggets, yuca fries, or fish sticks. Make it for backyard BBQs, weeknight dinners, or even brunch. You can whip it up in five minutes and everyone will think you are a true domestic goddess!

Thousand Island Dressing is one of those insanely versatile sauces that work well with a ton of different foods. Unfortunately, the store-bought versions tend to be incredibly high in calories, carbs, and fats. This healthy homemade version is just as delicious (if not more) than the unhealthy ones, making for the perfect guilt-free indulgence.

Once you try this recipe, you can say goodbye to those unhealthy and expensive store-bought dressings and hello to your new favorite homemade version! Serve it up on salads, wraps, burgers, or as a dipping sauce for raw veggies and baked fries.

This flavorful and healthy salad dressing recipe comes together with under 10 ingredients. The best part is that you probably have most of these items at home already! The key ingredients you will need for this recipe include:

This dressing can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. I have found that keeping it in a glass jar or container keeps it fresh for the longest amount of time, so if you have a mason jar or glass Tupperware container then I would highly recommend using that.

Thousand Island Dressing is traditionally made with mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet relish, and hard-boiled egg as the base. We switch it up a bit in this healthier version and add flavorful ingredients like Worcestershire sauce, sweet paprika, and minced onion. We also combine the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lightened up twist.

The simplest Dominican mayo-ketchup recipe is simply mayonnaise and ketchup mixed together, so you can do that if you want a simpler version, but this version I present is very special, with the sour-sweet touch of the pickles, and the hot sauce.
