According to the manual you need to press select + x if you have switched back to another mode than XBOX mode. I assume you have connected it to the xbox and it still stays in PC mode? Please try select + x
ive unplugged both Wheelbase (CSV2.5) and Pedals (CSV3) from computer and connected to my Xbox One X. tried pressing the buttons to switch modes, nothing happend. Still red ring on "start" button.
I just bought a second-hand CSL P1 wheel for use with my CSV2.5 base. It worked perfectly the first time it was attached, but now I can't get it to switch back into Xbox mode. Did anyone find a reliable fix for this problem?
I've recently begun to experience this issue. I purchased the Formula V2.5X wheel earlier this year and everything has been working flawlessly. Now, I've added the Universal Hub V2 for Xbox, which is also working flawlessly. But, when I try to switch back to the Formula wheel, it will not allow me to enter Xbox mode. I can swap back to the Universal Hub and it works fine, but not the Formula wheel.
So I noticed the same problem. Now that I have a universal V2 hub my Formula Wheel doesn't want to change into XBOX mode. What I have been doing as of late is I will put my V2 hub in then switch to the formula wheel. But I mean this is a bug in the system that needs to be fixed. The hoops I have to go through just to get my formula wheel to work is crazy.
Can you detail your solution a little bit better maybe we can at least help each other out with a work around until Fanatec puts out another firmware update. I have tried complete reboot of the XBOX and the DD Pro. I will power up the XBOX 1st then the wheel and again won't go into XBOX mode. Even when I use control panel just won't activate the security chip in the wheel
My workaround has been to disconnect the CSL DD from my Xbox and power. I typically will wait several minutes until the power supply no longer has the light lit. I make sure my Formula wheel is connected and then power the CSL DD. The last thing I do is connect back to the Xbox. I may get a quick USB error message in the OLED display on the wheel. This is typically a sign that it will switch to Xbox mode.

Please can anybody help me with this... It's a brand new set up, everything is up to date (Drivers and software)... I am using all original Fanatec equipment and wires. Fanatec CSL DD, McLaren GT3 V2 wheel & Xbox Series X.
Latest Drivers v455, Base and Wheel FW has introduced the problem of no Xbox mode for the CSL DD's and McClaren GT3 Wheel not detecting at all or faulty operation, only fix is to roll back drivers to v451 (Most stable than 452,453,454) and roll back Base and Wheel FW to previous versions manually (Caution: Could cause non functioning gear if not done right). Other option is to wait until Fanatec release a new update to address the issue.
Could also be the drive shaft slipping out of motor port because clamping system is known not to hold properly and when shaft moves forward it loses connection in the USB port at the end of the drive shaft inside the motor (Symptoms are usually loss of FFB, some buttons not working or Wheel not detected at all.
I saw many people saying about the shaft may have come loose... I thought that can't be the case, it is brand new and it doesn't look loose when comparing to online pictures... I was so frustrated I tried everything else I thought I'd give it a go. I loosened up the bolt on the C clamp, unplugged the shaft, and gently pushed it back in. Tightened it up and it immediately let me go into Xbox mode!
Thanks for letting us know, the shaft disconnect issue can happen often, others with the problem have replaced the U clamp on shaft with a better clamp with a two piece C clamp, dual bolt - one each side and 12nm torque force on bolts.
I just set up my fanatec dd1 podium wheel and installed the software to my computer. After it updated and the pc was rebooted the fanatec wheel will not change out of xbox mode. What do I do to change it to pc mode.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have not been able to find a solution on youtube or when I do a google search.
This article only applies to Xbox One and Xbox Series XS consoles acquired through retail channels. For development kit HW acquired via a managed development program, see the note at the end of the article.
Xbox retail consoles can have two modes, Retail Mode (1) and Developer Mode (2). In Retail Mode, the console is in its normal state: you can play games and run apps acquired through the Microsoft Store. In Developer Mode, you can develop and test software for the console, but you cannot play retail games or run retail apps.
Developer Mode can be enabled on any retail Xbox console, via the Xbox Dev Mode app found in the Microsoft Store. After Developer Mode is enabled on your retail console, you can switch back and forth between Retail (2a) and Developer Modes (2b).
Do not run the Xbox Dev Mode app on any Xbox development hardware acquired through an Xbox managed program (for example, ID@Xbox) or you may introduce errors and delays while developing your game. If you're a managed partner, you can get more information on activating development hardware. Go to -role.
Sign in to Partner Center with your valid, current Partner Center app developer account. If you don't see multiple options in the left hand navigation pane, or don't see the Create a new app option in the Overview section, the following steps and activation links will not work; make sure you fully registered your app developer account from the previous step.
Enter the activation code displayed in the Xbox Dev Mode app. You have a limited number of activations associated with your account. After Developer Mode has been activated, Partner Center will indicate you have used one of the activations associated with your account.
Click Agree and activate. This will cause the page to reload, and you will see your device populate in the table. Terms for the Xbox Developer Mode Activation Program agreement can be found at Xbox Developer Mode Activation Program.
After Developer Mode has been enabled on your console, use Dev Home to switch between Retail Mode and Developer Mode. To learn more about starting and using Dev Home, see Introduction to Xbox tools.
I can see no reason why fly as become snail pace. actually less than slug or snail. I read push sprint button. did not work. On screen you can see Y fly down x interact A fly up but where it says sprint which I would assume meant please actually move no button is shown. in addition to trying the official SPRINT toggle Ive tried all the others. nope. can not fly. this is obnoxious. other games in creative mode let you move around your build at the pace you want as well as fly across the map if you want. its single player. its creative mode. why the leash to prevent movement???
Is there anyway to not have this happen, I.e. I keep flying with the stick and use cursor mode on my controller for example? Alternatively, any way to operate ATC and map myself would be good, without handing off to AI pilot.
Just set up my new Xbox Series X on a 2020 Q80T 55-inch TV, and whenever I switch between games, Game Mode (which is on Auto) turns off and on repeatedly. It stays on, which is good, but appears super buggy until it gets there.
This happens while switching between games, menus, etc. It should just stay on until I'm no longer on the Xbox. When Game Mode is on manual on/off, it works fine, but it'd be great if Auto was a better experience. Anyone else with this issue or know how to solve it?
You can sort of fix it by putting the hdmi 4 channel on game mode on. And not auto settings. Just like if you use a xbox . I have a series x had a lot of issues with manually fixing things like : sound delay, flickering screen when starting up game switching on off on off game modus . So i started with setting the hdmi 4 instead of game modus auto to on. That helped alot, and if you use a soundbar in earc ,(i have a Q90T and Q950T) the sound delays are terrible with dolby atmos because samsung wont fix the auto settings on sound options. Only setting it to passtrough fixes it a little bit. Still lag but pffff... i hope this helps you a little bit and i hope that samsung sort there things out.
There has been a lot of issues with game mode on Samsungs 2020 TVs. My Series X and Q95T get stuck in a constant game mode on/off loop when launching games in auto and I have to manually turn off game mode to get the game to display and then turn game mode back on. Extremely annoying. They have updated the firmware multiple times and hopefully they keep doing so to get it right with the next gen consoles.
I have similar problems with PlayStation 4. Turned of the Auto game mode but still happens every once in a while. I get killed easily in a game when the screen goes dark switching modes. Samsung please fix this soon.
This worked for me. I have Samsung QN65, the xbox worked fine it is brand new. I started to play Halo one day and the xbox menus and the game were silent but only in halo. Did more research and finally stumbled on people mentioning other apps like DIsney+, Netflix, and Hulu. I had the same issue with Netflix and another game as well...which lead me to it being a Samsung TV issue. Read this and moved the xbox to HDMI 4(ARC) port and now all the games and apps have audio. Definitely best quick fix for me but I'd like to get to the bottom of this. Thanks!
