The Google Pixel 6 comes loaded with awesome wallpapers in different styles. We have multiple batches for you, but the first ones have more muted colors. Google continues to make really interesting and fun Pixel wallpapers that we know many of you will enjoy, and these are definitely proof of that.
The Google Pixel 5a seems to have been mostly ignored by the industry, and even its wallpaper selection is a bit disappointing. The device only featured two images of its own. These also come courtesy of XDA Developers. Here they are!
No more mountains! Mojave brought a new system-wide Dark Mode, and the OS shipped with two versions of its default wallpaper to match. Users could even have macOS slowly fade between the two background images over the course of the day.
macOS Catalina brought big changes to the Mac, including the ability to run iPad apps natively, opening the platform up to a much larger number of developers than ever before. Catalina shipped with multiple variants of its default wallpaper, and the ability to shift between them as time progresses throughout the day:
This version of macOS builds on Big Sur, bringing Shortcuts and a range of features that are also part of iOS and iPadOS 15. As of the first beta, Monterey does not include any new nature wallpapers as previous releases has.
I am using Pixel 7, I am facing an issue, i can't see the cinematic wallpaper option when i set wallpapers. Tried everything from the internet making a cinematic wallpaper in google photos, updating all the google apps, no solution. I am currently running on Android 14 Beta.
If you've done this before already, you'll now be taken to your Emoji gallery. Tap the + icon to create a new emoji wallpaper.
\nIf this is the first time you've used Emoji wallpapers, you won't see this screen yet (but you will next time). Instead, you'll be taken straight to the screen in the step below.
If this is your first time doing this, you'll be taken straight to the emoji workshop. If you want, you can just tap Randomize for a surprise emoji wallpaper. If you'd like to choose your wallpaper, you need to tweak the three criteria: Emoji, Pattern and Color. You'll be on the Emoji tab by default, so let's start with that.
\nTap Edit emoji to start editing the default emoji background. Tap the backspace icon to remove emoji in the box or tap Clear all to start from scratch, then select new emoji to appear. To change the order they appear within your pattern, delete and retype where you want them within the box. When you're happy, tap the check mark in the emoji box.
When you're happy, tap the check mark in the top right to go to the wallpaper preview. Tap Set wallpaper to finish things off and set your new emoji wallpaper.
It's now possible to make and set custom emoji wallpapers on Google Pixel phones. Bundled into the June 2023 feature drop, alongside the ability to make cinematic wallpapers and take hands free photos, Google gave Pixel users on Android 13 the ability to make cute home- and lock screen wallpapers out of their favorite emoji.
Now, emoji wallpapers aren't new. In fact, if you've read our guide on how to get the Android 13 easter egg, you'll already know that the easter egg already allowed you to make crazy emoji wallpapers. And that's been around for, well, as long as Android 13.
Admittedly, the easter egg wallpapers are a bit garish, while the new emoji wallpapers are a lot cuter less garish thanks to a pastille color palette. What's more, you have more control over the emoji you're adding into the new wallpapers than you did with the easter egg method.
Cinematic wallpapers arrived in the June 2023 Feature Drop for Pixel 6 and newer devices. If you haven't heard anything about them yet, Cinematic Wallpapers use "AI to transform your 2D wallpaper photos into dynamic 3D scenes for a truly magical look," according to Google. Essentially, they'll make your photos look a bit more cinematic on your lock or home screen.
Now you know how to set cinematic wallpapers, why not check out our other Android guides, including how to check Android battery health, if you'd like to find out how the power unit is fairing. We can also teach you how to transfer data from Android to Android when you get a new phone, and how to get the Android 13 easter egg and set emoji wallpapers (extremely useful if you didn't get the full June '23 Feature Drop like me).

Google introduces a bunch of new features for Pixel devices as a part of its quarterly feature drop update. With the latest release, the tech giant is also rolling out the June security update along with support for Cinematic wallpapers, a new home panel, speaker labels, adaptive charging and more.
Available on Pixel 6 and newer models, the new Cinematic wallpapers feature makes use of AI to transform a normal photo into a dynamic 3D scene. Whenever you set an image as a wallpaper, just tap on the top right corner of the screen and you will find a new sparkle button that lets you enable the cinematic effect.
It looks like Google is also bringing the emoji wallpaper from Android 14, which lets you pick up to 14 emojis with the normal keyboard picker, choose patterns like Lotus, Stacks, Sprinkle, Prism and Mosiac and set the zoom density using the slider at the bottom.
It's been less than a month since Google launched its latest Pixel devices, but we've been able to share most of the new apps from the Pixel 5. Over the last few days, we've released APKs for Google Recorder 2.0, Google Camera 8.0, and the updated Google Pixel Launcher. XDA Recognized Developer Pranav Pandey also managed to port the two new live wallpapers for all Android phones.
In our original post about the Pixel 5's live wallpapers, we also talked about a third, hidden live wallpaper called Conveyor Belt that wasn't fully implemented. At the time, we had only managed to extract a still preview of the wallpaper. Somehow, that Conveyor Belt live wallpaper rolled out to a handful of users, and so Pranav Pandey has updated his Pixel 5 live wallpaper port with this new option.
As with the previously released live wallpapers, the Conveyor Belt live wallpaper from the Pixel 5 should work on any device running Android 7.0 Nougat or higher. And it also has 4 different variants to choose from. You can install the wallpaper by downloading the APK from the forum post linked below. Once installed, the wallpaper should appear in the stock wallpaper picker on your device. In case it doesn't, you can download the Google Wallpapers app from the Play Store to apply the wallpaper.
The start of each quarter sees Google release a set of complete features and improvements to its Pixel devices, including its smartphones, the Pixel Watch, and headphones, via the Pixel Feature Drop. Just in time for this quarter, Google finally started roll out the June update for eligible models, adding abilities like hands-free selfie and 3D wallpaper, among others.
Google's cinematic effects have finally arrived on Pixel wallpapers. This transforms regular 2D wallpapers or pictures from your gallery into a 3D one that gives a cinematic or moving effect when applied. The Internet search giant said it uses machine learning or AI capabilities of the device when converting 2D images to 3D.
Announced back in 2023 I/O and also available in the Android 14 OS beta build, Emoji Workshop lets users combine and customize different emojis to create live emoji wallpapers. The feature extends to the home screen where you can interact with the wallpaper and have the emojis move or project reactions. This and along with the 3D wallpaper are available for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 (review) series.
I like the "Wallpaper Motion Effect" that is available in Android Marshmallow, but I find that using it with a properly sized 1440x2560 image results in the image being zoomed-in somewhat, which means the image is no longer displayed at a 1:1 pixel-perfect ratio.
