Hi guys,

Does anyone have Lasersaur BBB Image v15.01 working?

I have some problems with its setup according latest official instruction. I cloned lasersaur-BBB-image-v15.01.img.xz to SD card, but seems like my BeagleBone Black was unable to boot it. My router doesn't see BeagleBone in LAN network (I have TP-Link TL-WR1043ND with dd-wrt installed and when I go to Status -> LAN -> Active Clients I haven't see beaglebone in it). Also I can't connect BBB through SSH and open LasaurApp through browser. USR0 diode constantly blinking two times.

With old 13.06 image everything works fine.

Tried it all on Beagle Bone Black Replica from Embest.

Could you please suggest how to make v15.01 work?

I get this a lot - but I don't think it's software-related.

I get this symptom of the BBB booting up with lots of pretty flashing blue
lights...then crashing just as it starts to do the DHCP negotiations with
the router.

The BBB is incredibly picky about power supply voltages - if it's too
high, the power supply management on the card refuses to let power through
to the rest of the circuit...if it's too low, it can't boot.

There is a small range of voltages where it's just enough to get the CPU
and memory powered up...the machine starts Linux up, gets to the point
where it needs to get onto the network - then the ethernet chip turns on
and the power level drops and the entire computer crashes.

The result is that the machine then reboots over and over again...and
never gets past the networking part...and sometimes it's just marginal
enough that it'll eventually get started after a dozen tries.

The test for this is to buy an "official" BBB wall-wart power supply.
Connect the BBB to that and see if it boots reliably. If it does, then
you need to adjust the +5v power on the Lasersaur side of things.

I've become so frustrated with this that I now run both of our lasersaurs
with those wall-warts instead of the +5v gizmo in the BOM. This has the
useful side-effect that I can power down the lasersaur without powering
down the BBB - which makes for faster startup times.
