Has anyone else outside the USA, specifically Oceania region (ie Australia) ordered parts as per list from Misumi. They seem to want you to jump through hoops and register for an account before you can do anything. Both the account types want business details, etc... but I just want to simply order parts for private address, etc... nothing to do with a business. I don't want a credit line, just get quote, then order and pay immediately with Credit Card. How has others done this?

hey ptjau (?),

We are aware that misumi requires a formal business account in many
countries. We don't have a good solution for this yet. So your best
option would be to find a friend with a business that can order parts
for you.

I just wrote misumi an email asking if they can make exceptions for
lasersaur builders and/or the can do drop-shipments for us.

I'll let you know what they say.

Does it depend on dealing with a front-end company at all? In the
states I don't order from Misumi, I order from Misumi USA. The
structural cut-and-painted parts all come through US customs from Japan
but things like bolts and nuts come from Chicago, IL, USA.

Can you order from Misumi USA without a company? In the registration form of Misumi USA it still asks for a company name.

Can you just use a fake company name?

I had the same problem with McMaster Carr when I was building my CNC, they would only deal with existing Australian customers. Luckily I found the part
else where but try looking into a US based re-shipper, Mitsumi would then ship to the reshipper in the US and then they ship to you. They can also combine shipments
from multiple US orders and you save postage. Its worth a look into.

I used N/A as the company name and they took it and created the account.
