District 11 has a New Secretary

District 11 has a new Secretary – Scott Williamson. Scott is a fleet captain at SSA and has been involved in all of the Laser sailing there year round. Scott has regularly been traveling to events around the district as well as to Masters events in Virginia, Florida, New Jersey and beyond.
If you are a fleet captain in the District – please introduce yourself and be sure Scott knows when your events are so he can include them in the schedule.
If you are a sailor in the District – help Scott out by sending him results or pictures and/or posting them to the District Facebook group.
I’m sure Scott will do a great job and he’ll have the support of the fleet captains as well as myself, JR, Ted, Mike and others who have come before him in this role.
It’s been a pleasure to have met, hung out with and sailed with so many awesome sailors around the district over the past 12 years. I’ll still be a fleet leader organizing events at FBYC (have you heard about our Masters’ regatta?) and will still be sailing Lasers as much as I can among the other boats and activities in my life.
