Hello all,
We are pleased to announce that version 0.29 of LArray is now available.
The complete description of changes including examples can be found at:
http://larray.readthedocs.io/en/stable/changes.html#version-0-29
The highlights of this release include:
- arbitrary metadata can be added on both arrays and sessions (for arrays they are only saved to disk when using HDF5).
- implemented LArray.drop to remove some labels or indices along an axis
- completely rewritten the
Load And Dump Arrays, Sessions, Axes And Groups section of the tutorial
- a few useful constants are available directly from larray (nan, inf, pi)
- vastly improved indexing using arrays (many advanced cases did not work)
- a new module to generate arrays randomly (numbers following normal or uniform distributions or choose between a few predefined options)
- Axes and groups in sessions are now saved to (and loaded from) disk in addition to arrays
- a few minor syntax changes which will output warnings if you used them
As always, *any* feedback is very welcome, preferably on the larray-users mailing list:
larray...@googlegroups.com (you need to register to be able to post).
Those who already have larray 0.25 or later can upgrade by simply clicking on "Update LArray" in the "LArray" menu of the Windows start menu.
Those who do not have this menu (who have an earlier version of larray), rather need to type the following command in a "Command Prompt" window (right-click on the "Windows" icon and choose "Command Prompt"):
conda update larrayenv
