When briefed on the status of the fight to prevent Congress from recessing without passing Glass-Steagall, Lyndon LaRouche made the following statement to be conveyed by patriotic citizens to their Congressmen:
"If people cannot stay in session to implement Glass-Steagall, they may regret it for the rest of their lives. Without the immediate passage of Glass-Steagall, life will be hell for this nation, and for them. This has come down to a question of guts. If Congress does not vote for Glass-Steagall now, its members are not going to have very happy lives."
