Yeah, this is probably the one you already know. If the color and feel are to your liking, give the base of the pineapple a sniff. If the bottom of it smells ripe, fruity, sweet, and bright, that thing is probably good to go. But take warning: if it starts to smell funky and fermented, like vinegar, the pineapple has gone a bit too far. (Not that fermented pineapple is a bad thing per se; we just want it to happen on purpose, not by accident.)
There is a pineapple hack that blew up on Tiktok (and maybe other video platforms). It shows how to pull apart a pineapple and eat it without needing a knife. My human likes pineapple, and she wanted to give it a try. And of course I had to help. And of course she had to do a video.
The way it works is you are supposed to rip the top off the pineapple, then bang it several times on a hard surface. Then you put it on its side and roll it back and forth with all your might. After that, you should be able to pull apart the pineapple and eat it.
Well, WE are certainly not gonna eat a pineapple. But TBT does sometimes. He has a gadget with goes down through one by twisting and leaves the outside and core separate. But that takes some cleaning. He usually just uses a knife.

Posted November 20, 2013 at 11:42 AMAlways get the pineapple, other flavors can be found anywhere in similar products. There are 2 types of Dole Whip, a simple cup of Dole Whip or a float variety. I recommend the cup type first and get the float on next visit. Some people get really bothered by the pineapple taste explosion. From Melanie Howe
Posted November 20, 2013 at 7:09 PMGo for the orange -- it's the original :-). I was shocked the first time I went looking for the orange swirls of my childhood and could only find the pale pineapple imitator. I was very happy to see the return of that silly orange bird! From Oak A
Posted November 21, 2013 at 6:04 AMAt WDW, there is pineapple float at the Aloha Isle stand. Tis very refreshing. From Mark Fairleigh
Posted November 21, 2013 at 9:01 AMI say make room for all of them! Get a pineapple from Aloha, then walk over to Sunshine Tree Terrace and snag a citrus swirl and an iced coffee swirl!Never had an orange from Aloha, but imagine its the same as a citrus from Sunshine. From Anthony Murphy

Posted December 9, 2013 at 2:54 PMWhat's the difference between Dole Whip Soft-serve and Dole Whip Soft-serve Swirl? From Anthony Murphy
Posted December 9, 2013 at 10:12 PMThe soft serve is one flavor while the swirl is usually half vanilla, half other (pineapple, orange). Personally, I enjoy the swirl a little more than the full on soft serve. I love Dole Whip, but it can sometimes been very sweet and rich. The Vanilla cuts down on this. I have had both orange and pineapple and I would go with the pineapple just for the novelty. Don't get me wrong, Orange is excellent too, but where else can you get Pineapple Soft Serve. Strangely enough, this is also one of the more healthier snacks you could have at the Magic Kingdom. From Mike Gallagher
Posted December 10, 2013 at 7:41 AMBelieve it or not, Anthony, there's an answer to your rhetorical question: "Where else can you get pineapple soft serve?"Kennywood. At least, as of last September. From Michelle Morgan
Posted December 29, 2013 at 3:42 PMmy personal favorite is the Pineapple... but I've never had the orange and would imagine that it would taste like a Dreamcycle. The vanilla is also good. You can not only get it at Aloha Cafe in Adventureland, but at counter service establishment at the Polynesian... they don't have orange, though!

A blend of spices featuring annatto that goes great in everything. Not at all spicy, just deeply flavorful. My favorite brand is El Yucateco. From a staining perspective, annatto is just as bad as turmeric, so be careful not to get any on your clothes or white porous surfaces.
Al pastor is traditionally served with roasted pineapple cut from the top of the vertical spit. This recipe needs pineapple juice anyway, so I prefer to use canned chunk pineapple and roast them, rather than deal with a whole pineapple. Most 398ml/13.5oz cans will yield exactly 1/2 cup of juice, which is what is called for in this recipe.
For taco nights, we like to do the last warming part at the table with a small tabletop griddle. You can warm your tortillas and the al pastor all at once, and it makes for a really fun night. Just prep all your toppings in little communal bowls, grab some drinks, and taco the night away.
Great flavor from the marinade! I cut my pork roast slightly thicker and cooked it with with the marinade sous vide for 8 hours at 157 degrees. Resulted is perfectly cooked pork, not falling apart, so it could be put on the grill to char- to make the char faster with our drying out I also hit it with a flame torch. Perfectly crisp and juicy pork. Thanks!
Amazing but a bit spicy for my family. what would you recommend to maintain the flavor without the spice? Less Chipotle peppers and water or more pineapple juice in the marinade? I feel like if it was thinner it keep the flavor with the heat being in suck a thick paste
Made it once and just put the pork and pineapple on skewers on grill and it came out great. Trying it again this weekend on vertical spit in green egg and serving on crispy tostones as appetizer for neighborhood party. Its a little spicy but with pineapple salsa I figure we will be okay.
Making your own homemade spiked version of the ever so popular Disney Dole Whip is easier than you think. It literally blows my mind to think that this pineapple frozen cocktail is made using just three ingredients: pineapple, coconut rum, and vanilla ice cream! Crazy, right?!
Back in April, Disney shared their secret recipe for the famous frozen Dole Whip treat. With the parks being closed due to the pandemic, Disney shared this recipe plus many more like their churro bites, Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets, and the grilled cheese sandwich from Toy Story Land.
The recipe shared by Disney for their traditional Dole Whip concoction featured just three simple ingredients: frozen pineapple, pineapple juice, and vanilla ice cream. You simply add all three in a blender and you have your own homemade copycat recipe of a Disney Dole Whip. Easy peasy!
From here, allow your pineapple to sit in the coconut rum. The pineapple will actually soak up the rum as it sits. The longer you keep it in the rum, the more it will soak up. I left mine in the coconut rum overnight.
Pineapple and lemon prove they go together perfectly with this easy dessert with only three ingredients. This recipe takes my favorite classic pineapple dessert and swaps lemon pudding in place of vanilla. This simple swap adds a whole new flavor twist that you will be sure to love. The lemon wedge garnish is perfect for serving guests.
The delish dessert is perfect for a quick fix at home for that sweet tooth but also works to bring to parties. It doubles and triples easily so you can make as much as you need. You will definitely be the talk of your office party if you bring this in. It's pretty served in mini parfait glasses but can also be served right in a bowl. Anything goes, really. It also makes for an unbelievable topping for cake and even better as a layer or two in a trifle. I hear that idea bulb going off in my head as I type this. The possibilities are so there with this one.
This easy dessert recipe is almost all too simple. It whips up in literally 5 minutes or less and then sets in the fridge for an hour. And you positively cannot skip the setting of this dessert. It not only tastes perfect chilled, but this helps the ingredients truly incorporate perfectly. You will thank me once the hour passes and you take that first ultra sweet bite of this.
I discovered the basic amazing flavor combination almost five years ago and it has been my most popular recipe on this blog. It's still mind blowing how many visits I get to that post every single month. I figured it was about time to start sharing more variations of this idea. I recently shared a peach version as well as a pineapple and banana dessert, too. I have a couple more twists up my sleeve that I'll be sharing soon. When you find a winning recipe, you have to keep rolling with it for no fail dessert. This kind of recipe is perfect for summer BBQs, gatherings and parties. It's almost like a one stop easy solution to potlucks while being easy enough to make just for yourself.
That's really it! If this if your first time checking out this recipe type on Cutefetti, you are in for a treat. Don't judge a book by it's cover. It will all make sense as soon as you experience that first taste. So simple. So crazy. So good.
Save yourself the trouble of handling a whole pineapple and trying to flavor desserts with it. By opting for crushed pineapple with the juices from the can, you will not only save time and hassle but it can offer more flavor. It's unbelievable how much more pineapple flavor a crushed pineapple can will bring to a variety of recipes like this 3 ingredient dessert as well as no-bake pies, mousses and even poke cake.
This recipe proves that both lemon and pineapple are a perfect flavor combo. The sweetness of the pudding and canned pineapple juices marry just right and make this combination an instant win. With such low-cost ingredients, you have nothing to lose by giving it a try. I'm pretty sure you will be impressed. Once I put that lemon garnish on top of mine, I knew this was going to be a beautiful relationship between the two.
