irecently installed linux obuntu OS in my toshiba satellite c850 p5010 laptop which is working fine but the problem is when ever i connect my lan cable its not able to detect it and i dont know where i can find the lan drivers

If you can run update (maybe wirelessly), the needed alx driver will be brought in with the new kernel. If not, try downloading a compat-wireless... package (pick the right version for your kernel) and getting the alx from that -- trouble is this way may interfer with wireless, as many other (unwanted) drivers will be brought in.
