Rural Educators, Grow Your CS Knowledge with WeTeach_CS at TACC at UT Austin’s Rural Opportunities in Computer Science Initiative!

 

 

The Rural Opportunities in Computer Science (ROCS) project will recruit and support a cohort of up to 25 educators to grow their CS knowledge and skills, enabling them to integrate CS and AI into their curriculum. This training will be held at the Texas Advanced Computing Center in Austin. Accepted applicants will receive:

  • Lodging paid directly by UT Austin
  • Transportation reimbursement (up to $500)
  • Dinner per diem of $33 per night (for two nights)
  • $400 stipend upon completing the training
  • 5 Microsoft FarmBeats kits

The Texas Girls Collaborative Project (TxGCP) is a statewide network of advocates and educators from non-profits, K-12 schools, universities and colleges, and companies from across Texas and beyond who are committed to motivating and supporting women and girls to pursue and thrive in careers in STEM. TxGCP leads the annual Texas Women & Girls in STEM Summit, disseminates curriculum and effective practices, and supports a network of collaborators, resource sharing, and STEM communications throughout the state.TxGCP is a state collaborative of the National Girls Collaborative Project and is powered by STEMwise Connections.
