Webinar spotlights free math instruction resources |
Participate in the National Comprehensive Center's April 23 webinar to discover no-cost math instructional resources. The event will feature four toolkits designed to support evidence-based math teaching: REL Midwest’s Teaching Fractions Toolkit, REL Central’s Algebra Instruction in Middle and High School Toolkit, REL Northeast & Islands’ Mathematics Intervention in the Elementary Grades Toolkit, and REL Appalachia’s forthcoming Teaching Math to Young Children Toolkit. |
Description:
What does it really mean for math instruction to be “evidence-based”? And why does it matter now more than ever? In this webinar, we’ll unpack the research behind effective math instruction from PreK through high school and introduce a set of free, curriculum-agnostic professional learning toolkits grounded in What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) practice guides. Participants will explore the big instructional questions that math leaders and educators regularly face, from how to set a strong foundation for math learning to how to accelerate math learning. Through interactive activities and examples, participants will see how evidence helps navigate these questions and how the toolkits can anchor coherent, research-aligned professional learning across grades and contexts.
