I am pleased to announce that the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation will have new and existing team grants available through the Texas Workforce Commission again this year.  We will be able to establish 225 new VEX Robotics high school teams this year as well as providing grants to 300 existing teams.  We also have some Women in STEM grants available which can be used for middle school teams as well.  The grant includes team registration fee's and everything needed to build a competitive robot.

The VEX Robotics platform is the largest and fastest growing educational robotics platform in the world, and the VEX Robotics Competition has grown to more than 10,000 teams in more than 30 countries making it by far the largest robotics competition in the world.  At the end of the 2013-2014 season Texas had 547 teams, and in the 2014-2015 season we will have more than 50 events for students to participate in.  Both the VEX and VEX IQ platforms have free curriculum which is in-line with current standards.
