I passed a while ago and today my coworker told me that many people have used my notes to study, and brings me joy knowing that I can help anyone to pass. I know the exams will be soon, but in case anyone needs it, here they are. Hope you all pass! :)
The way I did it was to take the official LARE orientation guide and then study or research each bullet point on the list; for example: *Prioritize Stakeholder Goals* you won't find much of that on the books, so I googled the topic, found studies, master plans of other cities, read articles, etc. to understand better what it meant.
I googled each subject, searched on each of the official books in the list, and then wrote it down on the notes. I think this is the best way to study. You will not find everything on the books listed, you need to research a lot. Then, the week before the exam I stopped reading new stuff and focused on reading my notes over and over again.
I think that you need to comprehend the topic very well, not only know about it, that's why the notes are so long, I tried to be descriptive. I did this for myself, so my apologies if it is not very well written, I never intended to get them posted for others to use, but if it helps you, be my guest.
I also failed several times section 3 and one section 4. Every time I got out of the exam, I wrote the questions I got, then I researched that question and also added to the notes. So you have a lot of info gathered due to trial and failure from me. I had a really bad time failing over and over again, realizing there is no comprehensive material out there to help you study or pass... so if my suffering in the past can help you today...
2020 was terrible, so let's get something good out of 2021!
Good luck everyone!
