LARE Section 4 Study Group

Hi -

      Just wondering if anyone want to study together for Section 4 this December? We can set up a time to meet (maybe online during pandemics) once a week or whatever works, and use tools like messengers and google docs to record any questions or share any thought.  I am in the California Bay Area. Hopefully we are in similar time zone, but we can also work something out if we are not.

Hi Everybody,

I took Section 4 this August, but unfortunately did not pass and need to re-take it again in December. I helped organize and run a study group for the August exam, so I luckily have a good setup and a huge head start for preparing for the December exam. In order to accommodate most people (east coast and west coast), I propose we meet every Sunday at 9 am PST / 12 pm EST to discuss the general topics, and maybe Wednesday nights at 6 pm PST / 9 pm EST to discuss grading.

This Sunday 12th I won't be available, but I would like to get the group going sooner rather than later, so maybe we can all meet on Zoom this Saturday 11th, at 10 am PST (1 pm EST) to talk about the setup for the study group and to agree on times/ days of the week to meet up.

Hi all - 

      Thanks for all the replies! Yesterday we already had the first kick-off meeting with just three people. We plan to meet every Wednesday evening around 7pm or 7:30pm (Pacific Time). We plan to divide topics and each take on 1-2 topics listed in the LARE orientation section 4 guide, prepare a ppt summary and present to each other every other week. We also share a google drive where we can upload resources and share any questions we have.

      If this sounds like something you would also be interested in, and if the time works for you, let me know (sandy...@gmail.com).  We want to keep our group small, so we can probably take two more people. Please leave your name and phone number. Looks like Wess is organizing another group. I guess this is just another option.
