So I'm nearing the end of the construction contracts book by Hinze and there are a few chapters that I think may be time wasters. I'm thinking international contracts, construction insurance, and construction safety aren't super important to focus a lot on if at all, but I'm probably wrong. Hence this post.

I appreciate any feedback and help I can get!

I'm studying the Hinze book too, and was wondering whether to drop those chapters. I don't feel like they are relevant. I'm trying to use my time to focus on practice exams, terms, etc. Glad I'm not the only one who was thinking along those lines...

Definitely read Chapter 20. I felt like there were 3 or 4 questions on litigation this August.

You do need to know about insurance types and what the different types cover. I was surprised to see that on the test which is why i remember. I don't remember a whole lot of mention about international contracts. Focus on roles of the individual parties that can be involved in construction contracts and how contracts are enforced. I found the LAREprep exams really helpful in studying. They have two test for each and are really reasonably priced. Good luck!

I think bypassing International Contracts is safe.

I found the book useful not as a cover to cover read, but a tool to brush up on things I saw on the practice exam that needed a bit more explanation.

Making flash cards helped a lot for Section 1.
