I looked through the recommended books from CLARB, took study exams from CLARB, LARE pre, and Pass the LARE, and went through the LARE Prep study guide.
I thought the LARE Prep study guide was probably the best use of my time and energy, followed by the practice exams. The books just take too long to go through. For practice exams, I liked the CLARB ones because it was on the same platform as the actual test, and the questions were most similar to the test. But I think there are less questions for what you pay for. Both the Pass the LARE and LARE Prep exams were good. The Pass the LARE exam was harder to use because you can't stop midway and return later. You can make unlimited attempts to circumvent that, but it was annoying to do so. The Pass the LARE test exams really just came from the study guide, if you knew the study guide, you could pass their practice exams.
I think most of the old Section 3 study material still applies too. I used some and it was very relevant.
