Hi all, I am confused between these two as different study resource give me different answers.

- In LarePrep Study Guide, it says Functional Use Diagram is not at scale It is also not in relation  to the site. The example it gives doesn't show the site PL or the context, just simple a few circles and lines.  Lareprep showns the concept plan with it located in the context (rough PL but has the roadway and adjacent land next to a diagram). And it says the concept has is at scale and shows the relationship to the site.

- In Sarah's study materials, she says: Functional diagrams may also be
known as concept plans or schematic plans. So these two seems interchangeable. (She did mention that she couldn't find the definition from the clarb-approved books)

What is your thought on this?

I think generally the difference is that a concept plan is associated with the site and is basically drawn as an overlay. A functional use diagram is more abstract and is intended to communicate spatial relationships between elements. I think your thinking is right. The confusing part is that sure, some people in the profession combine schematic and concept graphics and just call them all "concepts", even though some are actual concept plans, and some are functional use diagrams.
