Hi everyone,

I took the P&D test yesterday and received provisional feedback indicating a 'likely to fail' result. I’m wondering, does CLARB ever use a curve when determining passing scores? Should I hold onto even a small glimmer of hope, or is this feedback essentially definitive? Any insights or experiences you can share would be appreciated. Thanks!

my interpretation of provisional feedback is that it basically looks at your raw score and calculates a probability that that score would be passing. I do not know mathematically how clarb is doing this, but I would assume "likely to fail" or "likely to pass" is probably fairly accurate. Everyone I know who has gotten provisional scores (only like 5 people) said their provisional result matched their official result.
