HI Diana, I will be taking a ISA cert Arborist prep class in January and would be interested in a study group. I'm not sure when I will be taking the exam. I'm currently juggling scheduling of LARE sections and Arb exam next year.

Hi all,

I have been wanting to do this but I saw the experience requirements and assumed it was not possible. Were you all able to get all LA work to count towards experience requirements, or were there specific types of LA work that you were able to count?

Thanks! Arborist work is a passion of mine, but my job is pretty typical landscape design.

I had some experience with trees, assessing for disease and taking inventory of them. I called ISA and they told me that would not work as experience. They want more hands experience like trimming and climbing. 

I was disappointed as well because I really liked working with trees.
