After a brief pause, we have additional Larcan TV amplifiers to sell.  These are the six-transistor
version (1.5KW).

We also have 2 IPA2 and 6 IPA1 units available.

MMRA-direct price is $385 and includes US shipping.  For locations outside the US, please
contact me.   Compare to the eBay price which is $415+$35 shipping and see what a racket
eBay has going on the seller and Paypal fees.

I've read through the MMRA pages and have high regard for what is there.  I wish the group luck in selling the 1.5kW lo/hi amplifiers, but please do not be mislead with what is involved to convert them.
Conversion to 50MHz will require about 65 capacitors to be changed out.  This can be time consuming and very expensive, but is fully feasible.  Get the schematics for channels 2-4 and 5-6 to compare.  I have the diagrams.  Email for a copy.
Even after modifying almost 50 1kW amplifiers, the conversion to 2M can sometimes be tricky.  I've written up a list of tips to assist with Brian's instructions.  The link is below.
Selling the 1.5kW lo/hi amplifier as easily modified to 2M using the same instructions is misleading at the very best.  The FET input and output sections as well as the input and output splitters are fully redesigned.  It is not a simple matter to just "extrapolate a little".  I've added a paragraph to this effect on my 2M Larcan page.

If I had an amplifier to experiment with I'd be pleased to experiment and share the results.  Perhaps Brian WA1ZMS could put his expertise in the 1kW conversion to work with the 1.5kW model.  Trying to tune six parallel amplifiers simultaneously is not a simple task.
