Hi guys!

Whenever you join the mailing list, please take a moment and introduce yourself in this thread.

Stuff you could include:
  • Who are you?
  • Why are you interested in Laravel?
  • Which topics are your main area of interest?
  • Your Github account
  • ...
Of course, I should encourage this by start with an introduction of me, but I'm almost sleeping, so that'll have to be another time ;-)

/ Peter

Andreas Peter Heiberg - Young entrepreneurial full stack developer

I started working with Laravel 2 years ago when it was still on version 3. I find it to be a joy to work with and it has really helped me advance as a programmer. I use it for both client projects and sideprojects.

I also have experiance with a couple of nodejs based frameworks and AngularJS.

Topics
I'm really in to testing right now, so that would be a great topic for future meetups.

Event based architecture would be a good one too.

It would also be interesting to see how people structure their applications.

Hi I'm Martin Dilling-Hansen, the dude from Århus/Randers ;)

My introduction to Laravel was a project called Lifehackers a little more than a year ago, it was made in Laravel 3 and was pretty crappy code. But I got kinda hooked on the framework and my interest in Laravel has introduced me to a lot of new and interesting subjects (design patterns, testing, architecture, etc.), so I would definitely say Laravel has made me a better programmer... and I realized how useless the Web Developer education is ;)

Now I'm using a lot of time learning more about the architecture/structure side of programming, and also trying to force myself a little more into testing xD

Places you can find me ;)

Okay, so I think I completely forgot about this!

I'm Peter Suhm and I'm a freelance PHP dev, with a passion for good architecture, testing etc.

I love beautiful and well-crafted code, and of course Laravel! I think Laravel made a lot of hard-to-grasp concepts more available to (mainly new) PHP devs!

I really hope this user group can grow into a small community that we can all benefit from. I know that similar groups have benefited a lot from knowledge-sharing and networking!

Hi

I'm Visti, developer at Tradeshift (not so much longer), since have have quit to start my own company again. Checkout timebird.co

Timebird is my first real Laravel project, since I only learned about Laravel 6 months ago (when I started to code Timebird), but I'm pretty much in love :) I did a lot of CakePHP before, so all my project has been in PHP.

Just like Peter I do focus a lot on testing and I actually had my own Testing Consultancy at one point, but sold it to a bigger competitor. I have co-started ITU Innovators (http://itu-innovators.dk/), the entrepreneur network at ITU and co-working space called Creative Destruction (http://www.creativedestruction.dk/). But I'm not an active part in any of them anymore.

From the 1st of August I will be sitting at Founders House with Timebird
