Greetings fellow film fans:
The last remaining Best Picture Academy Award nominated movies
showing in local theaters, "Poor Things" will be leaving town
this week.
One of the best animated films of 2022, "Turning Red". It is a
2022, but not been released theatrically in most of the United
States until last week, is still here. "Dune" part one (2021)
will be around a few more days. The sequel, "Dune Part Two" is
opening later this month.
Some good movies in town are "Dune", "Poor Things", "Turning
Red" (2022) "The Beekeeper", "The Boys in the Boat" and "Wonka".
If you like old movies, a number of them are coming to Laramie
theaters soon. Many older movie showings are scheduled at the
Studio City theater's "Flashback Cinema" series and the Regal
Fox Theater's "Regal Forever Favorites" (RFF) series.
Upcoming films in these series include, "Casablanca" (1942) "When Harry Met Sally" (1989) "Harry
Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (2002) "Terminator 2:
Judgment Day" (1991) "The Land Before Time" (1988) "The Quiet
Man (1952) "Jurassic Park" (1993) "Harry Potter and the Prisoner
of Azkaban" (2004) "Pride and Prejudice (2005) "The Godfather
Part II" (1974) "The Green Mile" (1999) "The Notebook" (2004)
"Field of Dreams" (1989) "The Shawshank Redemption" (1994)
"Chinatown" (1974) and "The Matrix" (1999).
Since all these films are limited run series, and schedules
change on these almost daily, I don't list them in the weekly
movie schedules. The schedules in these emails are listings for
films that run at least for a week. Check the local theater web
pages (links below) to see information about these limited run
films and other upcoming movies, Fathom Events, TCM anniversary
showings, sports events, concerts, operas, etc. Check the
following web pages often to find these and other special
showings:
