Greetings fellow film fans:
 Four new movies, and some old movies, will open this week in Laramie, including the acclaimed 2020 musical "Hamilton", the comedy sequel "Spinal Tap II: The Ending Continues", the dramatic sequel  "Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale", the Japanese animated movie "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle" and the dystopian drama "The Long Walk", based on a 1966 Stephen King story.
 
 I've rated the latest "Demon Slayer" (the full title is "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle" the original title is "Gekijo-ban Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Jo-hen") a C+ based on reviews from Anime News Network and Matt Schley of The Japan Times, both referenced in the Wikipedia article about this movie. Since the Demon Slayer series dates back to material first published in 2016, and other related movies and multimedia series since then, I assume that those familiar with at least some of this background, as well as Japanese mysticism, will get a lot more out of this movie than those completely unfamiliar with this series. On the other hand, some like these kinds of films just for the artwork, stories and action.
 
 Likewise for the acquired taste requisite for mockumentaries. "Spinal Tap II: The Ending Continues" is a sequel to "This Is Spinal Tap", which came out 41 years ago. This movie is aimed at fans of the original, as well as related movies, like "Best of Show" (1996) "A Mighty Wind" (2003) "Waiting for Guffman" (1996) "For Your Consideration" (2006) and "Mascots" (2016). Fans of this sub-genre will be the ones most likely to give this Spinal Tap sequel thumbs up.
 
 There is a lot of turnover in movie showings this week, with four new movies and five old movies ("Hamilton", "The Breakfast Club", "Jaws", "Toy Story" and "Inception") coming to town, and more movies leaving town than is usual for one week. One movie is opening a couple of days early and another is leaving town tomorrow, a day earlier than usual, so pay attention to the schedules below.

The best movies in town this week, are "Hamilton", "The Threesome", "Twinless", "The Roses", "Caught Stealing", "The Bad Guys 2", "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" and "Weapons".
