to Laramie Film Society announcements

Greetings fellow film fans:
There are three new movies opening in town this week, including the latest from Marvel Studios, "The Marvels", along with the well-reviewed biographical drama based on the life of Elvis Presley's wife, "Priscilla", and the faith-based Christmas musical, "Journey to Bethlehem".

Some good movies in town include "Killers of the Flower Moon", "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour", "The Creator" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas".

For you Roald Dahl fans, noted director Wes Anderson, has adapted four Dahl short stories into short movies, now streaming on Netflix, "The Swan", "The Rat Catcher" and "Poison", each of which is only 17 minutes long, while "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar" (rated below) is 37 minutes long.

A TV series, "Joe Pickett", based on Wyoming Author C.J. Box's books, has not been picked up for a third season. Seasons one and two are available for streaming on Amazon Prime or as video disk purchases.

Check the local theater web pages (links below) to see information about upcoming movie schedules, because the lists below do not include limited run showings at local theaters in town this week, like "Ghost in the Shell" (1995) "Gremlins" (1984) and "A Christmas Story" (1983) as well as some other Fathom Events, TCM anniversary showings, sports events, concerts, operas, etc. Check the following web pages often to find these and other special showings:

"They (health care workers) truly are the best of us. And their
compassion and their true acts of service are a call to action for all
of us.
"We need to ensure that governments around the world step up now and
provide health care workers with the equipment, with the funds, with the
support they need."
