Two new movies are opening in Laramie theaters this week, the horror sequel "Insidious: The Red Door" and the comedy "Joy Ride". Both of them open in Laramie movie theaters on Thursday, July 6. Hollywood seldom does comedy well, but "Joy Ride" is getting good reviews, so it may be worth watching.
Some good movies in town include "Sound of Freedom", "Asteroid City", "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse", "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" and "The Flash ".

A new Mission Impossible movie, the highly rated "Mission:
Impossible - Dead Reckoning, Part One" opens today in Laramie
theaters. Most movies open on Friday, but this one opened
early in order to get access to IMAX screens, which are going
to be tied up later this month due to exclusive IMAX
engagements for the movie "Oppenheimer", starting July 21.
"Oppenheimer", the story of the development of the first
atomic bombs, was filmed using IMAX cameras.
Some good movies in town include "Mission: Impossible - Dead
Reckoning, Part One", "Sound of Freedom", "Asteroid City", and
"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse".

Two new movies open in Laramie theaters on Thursday, July 20.
They are a historical drama about the first atomic weapons,
"Oppenheimer" and a comedy based on a famous line of dolls,
"Barbie".
Surprisingly, there are no early screenings for critics for
these films, but given that they are top line movies directed
by talented directors (Christopher Nolan for Oppenheimer and
Greta Gerwig for Barbie) I would expect both movies to be a
least a little better than the usual Hollywood mediocrity.

Reckoning, Part One", "Sound of Freedom", "Joy Ride",
"Asteroid City", and "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse".
