The best movies in town this week, are "The Odyssey", "Hadestown: The Musical", "Minions and Monsters", "Young Washington", "Toy Story 5".

A local movie group, Jackalope Cinema, has a movie showing, "Drop Dead Gorgeous" (1999) coming up on Sunday, August 9 at 4:30 p.m. at the Gryphon Theater, 710 East Garfield St., Laramie, ($6 suggested donation) more at: https://www.instagram.com/jackalopeccinema

Both movie theaters in town have summer movie series for kids with discounted ticket prices.

The movie listings for local theaters below don't include limited run movies showing over the next week, including "Tremors" (1990) and "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" (2009) as well as kids series, other movie series and other special event showings. "When politicians start talking about large groups of their fellow Americans as 'enemies,' it's time for a quiet stir of alertness. Polarizing people is a good way to win an election, and also a good way to wreck a country."
