Greetings fellow film fans:
Three new movies open in town this week, the faith-based, "The Shift", the science fiction film "Godzilla Minus One" and the comedy "Dream Scenario". Also opening, for a very limited run, is the concert film, "Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé" (this movie is not included in the listings below because it runs for less than one week).

Some good movies in town include, "Godzilla Minus One", "Dream Scenario". "Napoleon" and "The Marvels".

Check the local theater web pages (links below) to see information about upcoming movie schedules, because the lists below do not include limited run showings in town this week, like "Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé" (2023) "Elf" (2003) and "White Christmas" (1954) as well as some other Fathom Events, TCM anniversary showings, sports events, concerts, operas, etc. Check the following web pages often to find these and other special showings:

Greetings fellow film fans:
Awards season is in full swing for the next few days, with seven new movies opening in town, several of them awards hopefuls, and one free movie for kids, "Happy Feet", at the County Library on Saturday December 23, from 1 to 3 p.m. "Happy Feet" (2006) is a popular film about a tap-dancing penguin who goes from being an outcast to a hero.

Awards hopefuls are led by the Japanese animated movie, "The Boy and the Heron" which is already in town and will be closing soon. Other Oscar hopefuls are sports drama "The Iron Claw", opening Thursday, December 21 and the musical drama "The Color Purple", opening Monday, December 25. Another quality film in town that will be leaving soon is "Godzilla Minus One".

Other movies opening in the next few days include the superhero movie "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom", the romantic comedy "Anyone But You", the animated comedy "Migration" and the sports dramas "The Boys in the Boat" and "Ferrari".

Some good movies in town include, "The Boy and the Heron", "Godzilla Minus One", "Napoleon" and "Wonka".

If there are any movies you want to see, but haven't yet, you'd better hurry and see them, because a lot of movies now showing are leaving town in the next few days.
