Not just can't translate foreigns language to Lao, Khamla I am Laossie are concern too, because not many program there is no lao progam to write to communicate, sometime I am sick of Lao language program,

I noticed Google Translate facility you are referring to last March 2010. Anousack also did even before that.
Similar to you I like to see the facility be populated with Lao language material so that we, Lao people can use it to translate web pages and documents, especially technical documents from English to Lao. The sooner this is done the better.
To that end I, together with a group of friends have spearheaded the development and have achieved some progress so far.

As you can see the amount of work to be done is quite substantial. We need volunteers and the more the merrier. Students who have some spare time would be perfect.
We just need to spread the word.

thanks for your info. i have been quite busy nowadays. i think google
is essential, i felt strongly about the benfits and usefulness of this
feature. i started to search and find a way to get people involve
sometime back. then you guys came along..

we need so much to fulfil google requirements in order to implement
lao translator.

i am gathering some students and my workers to work on localization,
tm- translation memory, spellcheck for openoffice, and hope to get
some of these works for google tm... also i am working with vtetimes
lao-english dictionary.

do let me know in the next few weeks how my team can provide the data.

cheers and stay tuned for those have high hopes for us..

it is ok to discredited since it'd better than do nothing...like it or
not, it is yours perogative. jump in to help is a better way.
