Join us TONIGHT Thursday, May 9th at 6:00 PM in the USA Library (Room 181). This meeting is happening a little earlier in the month. This is to allow the speaker to hit several user groups in one trip. This session will also be presented at TechEd.

Main Speaker: Chris Gardner

Chris Gardner is the Senior Software Engineer and Architect for T & W Operations, Inc., and a Microsoft Certified Trainer Regional Lead. Tortured by years of contracts that valued buzzwords over results, Chris has developed a true passion for finding solutions that fit the problem, not the technology of the week. Chris received his B.S. in Mathematics and B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and is currently a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer, Information Technology Professional and Trainer.


Main Topic: Creating Games for the Windows App Store

Every developer secretly (or not so secretly) wants to develop games. However, most developers think there just is not enough time to learn the tricks needed to makes games. This session will show the audience how to leverage their existing knowledge of C# and the Windows Store Apps to create games optimized for this exciting new marketplace.
